Williamsburg came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Mt. Vernon Mustangs 12-4. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Williamsburg's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Mt. Vernon, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat Williamsburg by a score of 7-0 later that day.
