McCook not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 14-1). Everything went their way against the Gothenburg Swedes as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bison in their matchups with the Swedes: they've now won five in a row.

Gracey Cornelsen looked comfortable as she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, McCook let Carlie Rupp and Leighton Anderson run wild. Rupp went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs, while Anderson got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Anderson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josilin Miller, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

McCook's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Gothenburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

McCook didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-1 defeat against North Platte on the 6th. As for Gothenburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-4 win against Highway 6 on the 6th.
