Baseball Game Preview: Laconia Sachems vs. Hanover Marauders

Laconia is 0-5 against Hanover since May of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Sachems will be playing at home against the Marauders at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Laconia's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Merrimack Valley, sneaking past 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sachems have posted since April 21, 2025.

Meanwhile, Hanover faced Souhegan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Marauders won by a run and slipped past the Sabers 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Marauders' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Laconia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hanover, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
