Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Coventry Comets.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-14.

Coventry was led to victory by Ava Burkhart and Ruby Moritz. Burkhart had 16 digs and one assist, while Moritz had three digs and two aces. Burkhart is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Coventry, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will challenge Aurora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coventry, they will square off against Ravenna at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
