After flying high against Falcon on Saturday, Greeley West came back down to earth. The Spartans lost 16-8 to the Palmer Ridge Bears on Saturday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Greeley West got a massive performance out of Madison DeVault, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Isabella Rubio, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Greeley West's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Palmer Ridge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Greeley West is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Poudre at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Impalas have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Palmer Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arapahoe at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
