Soccer Recap: Liberty Starts Season with Victory at Home

Liberty took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They blew past the Pittsburg Pirates 11-0. Sofia Herrera was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Pittsburg's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Liberty will square off against American at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pittsburg, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Granada on the 12th.
