Basketball Recap: Jadee Salvador's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Berean Christian over Las Lomas

Berean Christian was the 44-30 winner over Las Lomas when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Berean Christian Eagles took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Las Lomas Knights on Thursday.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jadee Salvador, who posted 23 points. That was a full 54.8% of Berean Christian's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jianna Cayanan, who had 13 points.

It was another big night for Kimiko Hirahara, who scored 18 points and four steals for Las Lomas. Hirahara has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Angie Gankhuyag was another key player, going 5 for 11 on her way to 12 points.

Berean Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Las Lomas, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Berean Christian has already played their next game, a 56-19 win against McClymonds on the 3rd. As for Las Lomas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-30 defeat against Northgate on the 4th.
