Blackwell barely beat Tonkawa the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Maroons put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 10-1 victory on Tuesday. The Maroons haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Blackwell's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Tonkawa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Blackwell will venture away from home to square off against Pioneer-Pleasant Vale at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Tonkawa, they will take on Alva at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Buccaneers 3.8, the Goldbugs 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
