Baseball Game Preview: Stone Mountain Pirates vs. Mt. Zion Bulldogs

The Stone Mountain Pirates will challenge the Mt. Zion Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Stone Mountain is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Stone Mountain's offense. They came up short against Mt. Zion on Wednesday, falling 15-0.

For Mt. Zion's part, the team relied heavily on Christian Hurt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave Hurt a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Corey Johns, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Stone Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mt. Zion, they moved to 1-2 with that win, which also ended their 21-game losing streak.
