New Kent had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Tabb on Thursday. The Trojans blew past the Tigers 3-0. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was New Kent's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-13.

Leah Rounds paced New Kent's offense, picking up 13 kills. Rounds got some help from Desirae Stowe and her 21 assists.

Despite the loss, Tabb still got an impressive performance from Faye Realina, who had ten assists and six digs.

New Kent's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Tabb, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
