Match Summary
The Lady Trojans swept the Tabb Tigers, a Class 3 Region A rival, in their second meeting of the season. NK won the first meeting in five sets, but NK, which had just implemented a new lineup this week, handled Tabb comfortably in this meeting. In fact, due to an error in the lineup sheet for the first set, NK was determined to have the wrong first server, causing them to lose the six points they had earned during her serving, and giving a point/sideout to Tabb. Despite this setback, which took the score from 7-0 to 1-1, the Lady Trojans shook off the error and penalty, winning the set 25-21. Actually, they outscored Tabb 31 points to 20 points in the set. Set two started closer until NK managed a 6-point run from 12-11 to 17-11. Tabb closed the gap to 3 at 20-17, but NK surged again to win 25-20. The third set saw several ties in the early going, but after a tie at 9-9, NK surged ahead, winning 25-13. Nk is now 11-3 on the season, while Tabb falls to 9-5.
