October 21, 2025: Williamsburg, VA 23188 The New Kent Trojans volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Bruton Panthers to 0 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.
The Trojans now possess a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Warhill for a Bay Rivers outing on Thursday, October 23. New Kent will clash with a Lions team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Poquoson (Poquoson, VA). The Lions record now stands at 8-9.
With the loss, Bruton drops to 4-13 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Grafton (Yorktown, VA) to confront the Clippers in a Bay Rivers match on Thursday, October 23. The Clippers enter the match with a record of 18-0. Grafton won 3-0 in their recent league match against Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA)

The Lady Trojans swept the Panthers of Bruton 25-12, 25-18, 25-23 in their second meeting of the season, avoiding the four-set match result they produced in their earlier match on September 16th. New Kent's hitting was strong, with 34 Ks and only 12 errors for a .259 hitting efficiency, while the Panthers struggled on offense, recording 14 Ks and 15 errors for a -.017 hitting efficiency. Leaders on offense were Carly Sachs with 11 Ks, Leah Rounds with 8 Ks, Reagan Hailey-Robinson with 6 Ks, and Ryan Griffith with 5 Ks. Setters Brielle Perry and Desi Stowe managed the offense with 17 and 12 assists respectively. Stowe also contributed 4 aces while Katelynn Moore added 3, and Rounds 2.
