Soccer Game Preview: Johnson Ferry Christian Academy vs. Pinecrest Academy

The Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints will venture away from home to challenge the Pinecrest Academy Paladins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Johnson Ferry Christian Academy fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. Their defense stepped up to hand Scholars Guild Academy a 2-0 shutout on Monday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pinecrest Academy). They came out on top against Georgia-Cumberland Academy by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Paladins as they're now sitting on three straight.

Their offense was hitting Georgia-Cumberland Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Matt Tollet led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pinecrest Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Johnson Ferry Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
