Volleyball Recap: Dartmouth Victorious

Dartmouth proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins, sneaking past 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Dolphins: they've now won seven in a row.

Dartmouth had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-19, 15-8.

Dartmouth can attribute much of their success to Reese Kupiec, who had 20 digs and two assists. Those 20 digs gave Kupiec a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Rutkowski, who had eight digs and four aces.

Dartmouth's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10.

Coming up, Dartmouth will challenge Westborough at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
