Meanwhile, Wheeling also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Palatine by a score of 8-4. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Wheeling's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Niles North, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Niles North was able to grind out a solid win over Wheeling in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
