Cleveland had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Centennial Hawks. Winning may never get old, but the Storm sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row dating back to last season.

Cleveland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Hatch led the charge by throwing for 292 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. What's more, Hatch racked up 154.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Jacob Maldonado was another key player, gaining 177 total yards.

Cleveland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cleveland's defensive line and their three sacks. Troy Logan refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.
