Elias Rodriguez Jr. of
Weslaco has earned MaxPreps Texas High School Football Player of the Week.
Rodriguez carried 15 times for 295 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-23 win over Los Fresnos. For the season, the 5-foot-10, 170-pound senior running back has 1,212 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Odessa: Junior quarterback completed 27 of 38 passes for 534 yards and eight scores in a 71-70 win over San Angelo Central.

Rockwall: Senior ran for 218 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries in a 65-26 win over North Forney.

Aledo: Completed 13 of 17 pass attempts for 213 yards and three touchdowns while also carrying six times for 57 yards and two more scores in a 42-0 win over Centennial.

Tioga: Senior completed 31 of 44 passes for 408 yards and seven touchdowns while also rushing for 62 yards on two carries in a 61-12 win over Alvord.

Roma: Senior fullback carried 30 times for 285 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-41 win over Pioneer.

Westlake (Austin): Sophomore quarterback completed 15 of 20 attempts for 209 yards while also running for 59 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-14 win over Dripping Springs.
