Austin faced Cornerstone Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Maroons came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Maroons' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Riley Malloy paced Austin's offense, picking up nine kills. Malloy were helped by Maggie McCarroll and Nora Bettis, who contributed seven assists each. Malloy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 31-4. As for Cornerstone Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-4.

Coming up, Austin will head out to face off against Dripping Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
