Volleyball Game Preview: Malcolm Clippers vs. North Bend Central Tigers

The Malcolm Clippers are taking a road trip to challenge the North Bend Central Tigers on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Malcolm made easy work of Wahoo and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Malcolm won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 28-26.

Meanwhile, North Bend Central had just enough and edged out Shelby-Rising City 2-1 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted against the Huskies since September 3, 2019.

North Bend Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Malcolm, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Malcolm was able to grind out a solid win over North Bend Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Clippers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
