The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Archbishop Wood has scored all season.
Red Bank Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christina Liggio led the charge by scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Liggio pulled down eight or more rebounds. Addy Nyemchek was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Archbishop Wood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Red Bank Catholic, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Archbishop Wood and Conwell-Egan Catholic will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Conwell-Egan Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Archbishop Wood is ranked first). Red Bank Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Westtown at 5:15 p.m. on December 30th.
