Rock Creek strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 45-7 win over the Clay Center Tigers. The Mustangs pushed the score to 31-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.

Rock Creek was led to victory by Tate Smith and Zion Bell. Smith threw for 271 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, while Bell rushed for 110 yards and three TDs. Those 271 passing yards gave Smith a new career-high.

Rock Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Owen Geyer and Brodee Clark. Another thorn in Clay Center's side was Nick Allen, who made 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Rock Creek's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Clay Center, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Rock Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 56-14 win against Marysville on the 10th. Clay Center has also already played their next matchup (against Concordia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
