Basketball Recap: American Canyon Falls Despite Big Games from Deja Montgomery and Jordan Woodson

American Canyon's game on Saturday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 44-36 to the Justin-Siena Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-43 back in January.

American Canyon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Woodson, who went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points and five rebounds, and Deja Montgomery, who posted six points and eight boards. Woodson has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times she's played.

It was another big night for Jordan WASHINGTON, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 14 boards for Justin-Siena. Naveena Jackson was another key player, putting up seven points and nine rebounds.

American Canyon's record now sits at 19-7. As for Justin-Siena, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.

As of now, neither American Canyon nor Justin-Siena have any future games scheduled.
