Lincoln County proved they can win big last Monday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats. The victory was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Lincoln County pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will challenge Augusta Prep Day at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, they will face off against Glenn Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
