Basketball Recap: Victoria Fowler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sacramento Adventist over Cornerstone Christian

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Sacramento Adventist couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cornerstone Christian Cougars on Wednesday. The Capitals have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Sacramento Adventist's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Victoria Fowler, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Fowler has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Friedrich, who shot 71% from the field on her way to 13 points and six boards.

Sacramento Adventist's record is now 21-8. As for Cornerstone Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-10 record this season.
