Softball Recap: Ridgeland Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Ridgeland came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the LaFayette Ramblers, falling 9-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alaina Shaver was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Ridgeland's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13. As for LaFayette, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Coming up, Ridgeland will face off against Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaFayette, they will host Gordon Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
