Baseball Recap: St. Bernard's Central Catholic Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

St. Bernard's Central Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the North Polar Bears. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 back in April.

DJ Maceiko spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, CJ Pelissier was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Dunbar, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
