Van Meter had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Treynor Cardinals a 3-0 shutout. Considering Van Meter have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Van Meter pushed their record up to 16-1-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those eight contests. As for Treynor, they moved to 8-2-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
