Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Richmond Hill

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Richmond Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Statesboro Blue Devils. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Richmond Hill, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Statesboro, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Richmond Hill will square off against South Effingham at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Statesboro, they will take on Swainsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
