Softball Recap: Alcovy Comes Up Short

Alcovy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-4 to the Jasper County Hurricanes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 back in August.

Alcovy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Jasper County, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Alcovy will take on Jackson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Jasper County, they will welcome Banks County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
