Monroe extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jamir Jackson. The Redhawks walked away with a 32-20 win over the Anson Bearcats on Friday with plenty of help from Jackson, who rushed for 153 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and one score. He is becoming a predictor of Monroe's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Anson's loss came despite strong showings from Tasean Harris and Cordarrius Bivens. Harris rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown, while Bivens rushed for 37 yards and a pair of scores.

Monroe now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Anson, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Monroe has already played their next matchup, a 39-21 victory against Mount Pleasant on the 24th. As for Anson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-12 defeat against Forest Hills on the 24th.
