Amber Sallee leads a balanced attack to beat Mapletown

Recap: Bentworth Bearcats vs. Mapletown Maples

The Bentworth Bearcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Mapletown as Bentworth made off with a 62-41 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Bentworth as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bentworth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amber Sallee, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Ava Clark- Massucci, who scored 16 points.

Isabella Garnek and Makenna Lotspeich certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Garnek dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds, while Lotspeich scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garnek has scored all season.

Bentworth's win bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Mapletown, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Bentworth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mapletown, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Greene at 5:30 p.m. Mapletown is on a three-game streak of home losses, West Greene a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
