Softball Recap: Westview Wins Going Away Against Skutt Catholic

After losing to Skutt Catholic the last time they met, Westview decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wolverines were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the SkyHawks on Friday. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by exactly seven runs.

Kadence Bosan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Elke Martin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Westview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skutt Catholic only posted an OBP of .222.

The win made it two in a row for Westview and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Skutt Catholic, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westview will face off against Millard West on Tuesday. As for Skutt Catholic, they will take on Standing Bear at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
