Volleyball Game Preview: Milpitas Trojans vs. Homestead Mustangs + How To Watch

The Milpitas Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Homestead Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Milpitas is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Milpitas will bounce into Monday's match after beating King's Academy, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Trojans blew past the Knights 3-0 on Thursday.

One reason for the win was Milpitas' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 25-11.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Homestead and Los Gatos, and Los Gatos kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-21 in the first set.

Homestead started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-13.

Homestead has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season. As for Milpitas, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
