            Softball Recap: Lamar Thunder vs. Pueblo Central Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Lamar lost against Pueblo Central back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Thunder took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Carlin Weber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
 At the plate, Lamar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alexus Campbell, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  Campbell has  hit this season.
Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Pueblo Central, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record  this season.
 Lamar will be playing in front of their home fans against Limon  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Badgers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.46  runs per game on average), something the Thunder will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pueblo Central, they will square off against Pueblo Centennial at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
