With a playoff win on the line, Kell rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Cartersville Hurricanes. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Kell, bringing their record up to 27-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Cartersville, they moved to 29-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Kell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Central on the 30th. As for Cartersville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-9 win against Pace Academy on the 31st.
