Basketball Recap: Escondido's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Escondido's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Valhalla Norsemen out 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since January 4, 2024.

With the victory, Escondido broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7. As for Valhalla, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Escondido will venture away from home to face off against Mt. Carmel at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Carmel will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Escondido surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valhalla, they are taking a road trip to take on Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valhalla is facing Mount Miguel at the right time seeing as Mount Miguel is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
