San Ysidro came into Thursday's contest having lost 30 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 40-35 W over the Bayfront Charter Sharks on Thursday. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Ysidro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kimberly Valdez, who posted 11 points. Madison Wittlieff was another key player, putting up 11 points.

San Ysidro's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Bayfront Charter, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

San Ysidro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-17 loss against Santana on the 7th. Bayfront Charter has also already played their next match, a 43-21 defeat against Sweetwater on the 4th.
