Softball Recap: Cedartown's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Cedartown had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 4-4 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Southeast Whitfield County Raiders by a score of 5-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 on August 5th.

As for Southeast Whitfield County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Southeast Whitfield County's part, Allie Azurdia was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Azurdia's first of the season.
