Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Hall). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the West Hall Spartans an 18-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won four matches by 12 runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for East Hall and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for West Hall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. East Hall is set to challenge their familiar foe Monroe Area at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Hall will square off against rival Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
