Crete entered their tilt with Adams Central on Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 15-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kacey Dunaway was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Hayley Mattox was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Crete was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher in three consecutive games.

Crete's record now sits at 18-2. As for Adams Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Crete will challenge Milford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adams Central, they will square off against Gothenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
