Basketball Game Preview: Alta Loma Braves vs. Colony Titans

Alta Loma is 1-9 against Colony since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Alta Loma Braves will welcome the Colony Titans at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Alta Loma came up short against Los Altos and fell 50-43. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their loss, Alta Loma saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mia Valle, who posted 16 points and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. That was a full 37.2% of Alta Loma's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Harris, who put up eight points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Colony played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 73-36 defeat at the hands of San Dimas. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.

Colony has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Alta Loma, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Alta Loma beat Colony 61-54 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Alta Loma have another victory up their sleeve, or will Colony turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
