Softball Recap: Madill Comes Up Short

Madill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 8-7 to the Fighting Irish when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Madill's loss dropped their record down to 6-24. As for Bishop McGuinness, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-23.

Madill has already played their next contest, a 12-4 defeat against Purcell on the 2nd. As for Bishop McGuinness, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Cache on the 2nd.
