Soccer Recap: Lovett Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lovett can now relate to. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Whitefield Academy WolfPack who were credited with the win on Friday. Lovett haven't had much luck with Whitefield Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Lovett's goal came courtesy of Hill Mauldin, who's now up to 24 this season.

Lovett's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Whitefield Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Whitefield Academy beat Lovett by a score of 1-1 later that day.
