McGill-Toolen had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Spain Park Jaguars as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Yellowjackets as they're now sitting on eight straight dating back to last season.

McGill-Toolen not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Spain Park between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-17.

Catherine Mcclain paced McGill-Toolen's offense, picking up 13 kills. Mcclain got some help from Alice Wood and her 25 assists. Payton Mcclarren controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

McGill-Toolen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Northridge on the 22nd. As for Spain Park, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Athens on the 22nd.
