Softball Recap: Green Mountain Takes a Loss

Green Mountain was the 24-0 winner over Denver North when they last played one another back in August of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.

Caroline Salaver made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Wise, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Green Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Denver North, the win (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Green Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Northglenn on the 16th. As for Denver North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-7 win against The Academy on the 16th.
