Football Recap: North Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for North's offense. They took a blow against the Heights Falcons on Friday, falling 64-0. The RedHawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Armoni Lopez threw for 43 yards on 11 of 24 attempts. Thomas Shields was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards.

Heights had a senior duo take command as Zane Masterson rushed for 43 yards and two scores and Darius Rogers rushed for 79 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Heights, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

North and Heights could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. The RedHawks (ranked 201st) will meet Southeast (ranked 85th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Heights will face off against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (138 vs. 12).
