Basketball Recap: Greenwood Skates Past Midd-West with Ease

Greenwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 50-18 win over the Midd-West Mustangs. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 25 points or more this season.

Bekah Brinser continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 18 points, nine boards, and ten steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Sylvia Gantt was another key player, putting up six points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

Greenwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.
