Soccer Game Preview: Analy vs. Sonoma Academy

Analy is 1-8-1 against Sonoma Academy since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Analy Tigers will head out to challenge the Sonoma Academy Coyotes at 1:00 p.m.

Back in December of 2024, Analy and Piner finished up their game with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sonoma Academy). They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over Cloverdale on Thursday. With the Coyotes ahead 5-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Sonoma Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which lines up perfectly with their 4-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. Analy's draw gives them a new season record of 2-2-2.

Analy suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Sonoma Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Analy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
