Soccer Game Preview: Pierce County vs. Fitzgerald

The Pierce County Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pierce County will be strutting in after a win while Fitzgerald will be coming in after a loss.

Pierce County's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Savannah Arts Academy 1-0.

Meanwhile, Fitzgerald lost 9-3 to Jeff Davis on Friday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Purple Hurricane were already down 3-0.

Pierce County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fitzgerald, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.

Pierce County took their win against Fitzgerald when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 8-2. In that game, Pierce County amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
