Hollidaysburg waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy 58-41 victory over the Forest Hills Rangers. Given the Golden Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Rangers are ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Forest Hills lost, don't look at Aivah Maul. Despite the final result, she went 6 for 15 on her way to 18 points and five rebounds. The contest was Maul's third in a row with at least ten points. Danika Faith also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Hollidaysburg pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Forest Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Hollidaysburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 77-38 victory against Penns Valley Area on the 6th. Forest Hills has also already played their next contest, a 74-66 loss against Bishop Carroll on the 8th.
